Excellence in Urban Timber Recovery.

Honest, Reliable Service

Perth’s Urban Hardwood Recovery Specialists

Restoring Community Value

Homeowners & Private Landowners

Western Timber Recovery provides mobile sawmilling services for homeowners and property owners across Perth and Western Australia. If you have had a tree removed due to storm damage, safety concerns or development works, we can mill suitable logs on-site into usable slabs, posts or boards.

Instead of sending quality timber to landfill or mulch, we help you retain the value of your timber for furniture, landscaping or future projects. Our mobile sawmill comes to you, providing an efficient and professional service that transforms removed trees into lasting, usable timber.

Businesses & Utilities

We partner with businesses, utilities and large asset managers and infrastructure contractors. Where operational tree removals are required, we identify suitable sawlogs and recover structural timbers before material enters low-value waste streams. This allows organisations to demonstrate measurable sustainability outcomes while maintaining operational efficiency.

Recovered timber can be allocated to internal fitouts, community engagement projects or environmental reporting initiatives. Western Timber Recovery integrates seamlessly with existing contractors and provides transparent volume reporting to support ESG and circular economy objectives.

Local Government

Western Timber Recovery works with local governments to implement structured urban timber recovery programs. When councils remove mature trees due to storm damage, infrastructure upgrades or risk mitigation, we mill suitable logs on-site while branches and unsuitable material are mulched as usual.

This approach preserves high-value structural timber and converts it into civic assets such as park seating, garden infrastructure and building fitouts. Our paid contractor model, transparent reporting and measurable cubic metre recovery support councils in delivering practical circular economy outcomes aligned with the WA Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030.

Who We Are

About Our Company

Western Timber Recovery was built on a simple belief: valuable timber should not be wasted.

Across Western Australia, mature native hardwoods are removed every day due to storm damage, infrastructure upgrades and safety requirements. Too often, high-quality Jarrah, Marri, Blackbutt, Tuart and Karri are reduced to mulch despite having decades of structural life remaining.

Western Timber Recovery exists to change that outcome.

Using professional mobile milling equipment, we recover suitable hardwood logs directly from removal sites and convert them into usable structural timber. The focus is practical; integrate with existing contractors, operate safely and efficiently, and deliver measurable material recovery that benefits councils, businesses and communities.

We believe in material stewardship, transparency and doing the job properly. Our approach combines operational discipline with respect for the resource itself. The result is simple: better outcomes from timber that would otherwise be lost.
